We had another encouraging week on the campaign trail, culminating in a busy weekend with Somerville Open Studios and the Bay State Bike Month celebration at Aeronaut on Sunday.

We're continuing to get out and talk to voters on the doors and at events around the city. With nomination papers now out, we'll be looking to get our signatures gathered and get on the ballot. I'm asking for your help with knocking doors and getting signatures.

Announcing: IdeaLab at the Armory

Idealab Policy Showcase | Celebration & Fundraiser, Wednesday, May 14, 6-9PM | RSVP: tinyurl.com/idealab514

As we teased in last week's campaign newsletter, we will be hosting an event at the Armory on Wednesday May 14. Come learn about Jake's ideas to address some of the issues facing our city with a poster session featuring a short speaking program. There will be free pizza, a cash bar, and music. As with all our events, while a campaign contribution is greatly appreciated, by no means is it required to attend.

RSVP here, and we look forward to seeing you there on the 14th!

Sign my nomination papers

Running for office becomes official when you get on the ballot. The mayoral race requires 250 certified signatures of Somerville registered voters, and we're looking to get this taken care of right away this week.

If you'd like to sign Jake's nomination papers, please email [email protected] for information on how you can do this. And you can volunteer to gather signatures while knocking doors this week, including at our canvassing event on Saturday:

KNOCK KNOCK: Spread the Word | Canvassing Event Saturday, May 10 10 AM - 6 PM

If you are interested in volunteering to canvass on Saturday, before or during PorchFest, you can RSVP here for that.

If you'd like to host or staff a table during PorchFest, please sign up here as a volunteer -- and be sure to mention PorchFest in the "Comments, Notes, etc." section.

Support the campaign financially

As we enter May, your donations are more impactful than ever. If you or those you know have not had the chance to contribute to the campaign, this is the moment. Yard signs are on the way and we're looking to keep growing our canvassing operation to make sure everyone in Somerville knows about Jake's message and our campaign to move this city forward.

Any contribution is appreciated, and sharing this with those you know helps even more so!
