We're coming off another encouraging week on the campaign trail, getting our ballot papers signed while knocking doors and at PorchFest. Unless it's pouring rain, I'm generally out on the doors every weeknight and weekend, spreading the word and engaging with voters.

Those conversations are my favorite part of a campaign. I really appreciate everyone willing to hit the pause button on dinner, a TV show, or family time to talk with me on the doors about what you want to see from your next mayor.

If I missed you when I rang your doorbell or you were in the middle of something and unable to chat, please take me up on my offer to chat and get in touch by phone (617.468.8969) or email ([email protected]).

IdeaLab @ The Armory (5/14)

Idealab Policy Showcase | Celebration & Fundraiser, Wednesday, May 14, 6-9PM | RSVP: tinyurl.com/idealab514

As you might've already seen on our socials, this Wednesday, May 14 will be our IdeaLab event at the Armory. It will be a great chance to learn more about Jake's plans to address the issues facing our city and see how you can help us push this campaign and Somerville forward.

Saturday's PorchFest might've left you craving more live music, and we'll have a group of local musicians on stage. Come have some pizza on us while you read up on policy, hear from Jake and a short speaking program, and enjoy a drink from the cash bar. This will be an evening to remember!

If you haven't already RSVP'd you can do so by clicking here.

Help us get on the ballot!

Making it official by getting on the ballot is a significant step in this campaign. We want to thank everyone who has signed our nomination papers and has been gathering signatures in the past few days. We're closing in on our signature goal to ensure our place on the ballot this fall, and we expect to drop off papers for certification in the coming days.

There's still an opportunity to sign if you have not yet. We will have nomination papers at Wednesday's IdeaLab campaign event at the Armory for folks to sign. And there are ballot papers to sign at a few locations around the city, so email [email protected] for information on how you can add your name.

A perfect Saturday for canvassing

KNOCK KNOCK: Spread the Word | Canvassing Event Saturday, May 17, 10 AM - 6 PM

This Saturday is shaping up to be a great one for any and all to join us on the doors for a fantastic canvass. If you haven't yet had the chance to knock doors with us, we'll be going door to door across town talking to people about Jake and the campaign to raise awareness and support. In a grassroots campaign like ours, this kind of outreach is critical to success, and giving your time in this way is so impactful.

Whether it's your first or 1,001st time canvasssing, we will ensure you have everything you need to feel confident out on the doors. All you need to worry about bringing is some comfortable walking shoes, a friendly attitude, and your fully-charged phone enter information in the canvassing app and stay in contact with the team. We also recommend bringing a friend to make canvassing even more fun. If you've already helped out and joined us before, we will ensure that you're set to go with any new literature or talking points, and let you tackle your turf as you like!
