Our family has been through campaigns before, including a wild sprint to the finish in 2021 where we didn’t see much of Jake the final seven weeks of the campaign. So when he first raised the idea of running for mayor with our family last summer, we knew what it would mean. The girls’ soccer games and school events Jake would miss, along with all the family dinners, movie nights, and vacations. But we knew this was the right thing for our family – and for our city.

We’re so proud of what Jake’s doing, getting out and connecting with the voters on the doors. He's a tireless worker and it's great to see that labor being rewarded. We can feel the momentum the campaign is building and the growing support in this city.

Tonight Jake will take part in the first mayoral candidate forum of this campaign. His family and the hundreds of neighbors who have donated and volunteered with the campaign over the past seven months will be behind him. We know it would mean so much to him to have your financial support.

So many ways to get involved

This past week was another great strong showing by our campaign volunteers, but we still can use even more of you! So we're continuing to add options for folks to pitch in and help us get the message out. 

We'll hold our usual Monday phone bank event tonight at 6 PM EDT. And we'll keep doing our Saturday canvasses, with slots to knock doors at 10 AM, noon, and 3 PM this Saturday. Starting this weekend, we're now offering a Sunday canvass with an 11:30 AM launch, in case Saturdays don't work for you.
